Everything you need to know about:
Dan Thurgood Photography.
I've been capturing life and all its wonders since a 10th birthday gift of a pocket 110 camera got my photographic juices flowing. The pocket camera was followed by a Pentax Auto 110 a few years later, and I decided that photography was something I wanted to pursue as a career.
My trusty Auto 110 didn't cut the mustard when it came to college, so I upgraded to a Canon AE-1 and haven't looked back since. The AE-1 was stolen (Lesson 1: Never leave your camera in the car), the replacement Canon 1000F went for a swim in a river (Lesson 2: Never lend your camera to a friend) and the subsequent Canon EOS 300 was put out to retirement on eBay when the 300d came along. The 300d is now back-up to my 5d, and the 5d mkII is looking more tempting every day.
Anyway. I love to shoot people, whether it's for press or portrait. The human face conveys more emotion than any landscape or animal shot and is always a joy to capture. But as you can see from my portfolio, I'm not averse to any kind of photography as long as it's ethical and suitable to be viewed by a child!
I hope you enjoy looking at my photography and that you pick up that phone at the end!
